“Excellent photography workshop. We went through 8 different light set ups starting with a single light source and ending up with two light sources with the tightest control of the light. There was a lot to take in and was very happy with the photos I took. The breadth of the material covered was excellent. Very pleased to have attended. Thanks Rory!”
"In one word “Inspiring” “Rory was open to and encouraged all questions, which were answered in detail. Rory shared his extensive lighting knowledge in addition to how to bring out the character in a portrait subject in a fun. informal, enjoyable manner. Would recommend this course to any portrait photographer wanting to improve their craft.”
Few military specialists are as enigmatic and elusive as snipers. Tasked with precision, patience, and absolute concealment, these highly trained marksmen operate on the razor’s edge of warfare. As a portrait photographer with extensive experience in the defense sector, I have had the unique opportunity to work with snipers from the British Army, the U.S. Armed Forces, and the Italian military. Each session presented distinct challenges, not only due to the covert nature of their profession but also because of the intricate gear and camouflage techniques that make them nearly invisible to the human eye.
William Shatner is a name synonymous with adventure, charisma, and an undeniable presence—both on screen and in real life. Best known for his legendary portrayal of Captain James T. Kirk aboard the USS Enterprise, Shatner has long been an icon of science fiction and popular culture. Yet, beyond his cinematic legacy, he is also a man of deep passions, with a profound love for horses that has been a defining part of his personal life.
I am deeply honored to have been featured in VoyageLA Magazine and to share my journey with their incredible readers. The opportunity to reflect on my path—from my beginnings as a history student at King’s College London to becoming a portrait photographer inspired by history, art, and humanity—has been both humbling and energizing.
