Greg Davies, a towering figure in British comedy, known for his unforgettable roles in The Inbetweeners, Taskmaster, and Man Down, recently sat for a portrait session with renowned photographer Rory Lewis. As one of the UK’s most versatile actors and comedians, Greg brought his signature blend of intensity, humor, and charm to the shoot, resulting in a series of portraits that reveal the man behind the comedy. Rory’s expertise in capturing the essence of his subjects allowed him to document Greg’s multifaceted personality, creating images that are both striking and intimate.

Greg’s session was a masterclass in portraiture, showcasing his evolution from sitcom star to stand-up sensation, while embodying the energy that has made him a mainstay in British entertainment. Rory’s ability to create a relaxed yet professional environment brought out Greg’s natural charisma, making this a portrait session that truly stands out.
But Greg Davies isn’t the only iconic figure Rory has worked with recently. As part of his ongoing ChronoVisions: An Epochal Fusion project, Rory had the pleasure of photographing Paul Kaye, the brilliant actor known for his roles as Dennis Pennis, Thoros of Myr in Game of Thrones, and more recently, After Life. Paul’s participation in the ChronoVisions series brought a unique blend of history and modernity to the table. Inspired by the mythical Chronovisor, a device said to peer into the past, the project captures actors and models dressed in 1930s-inspired attire, set against historically significant backdrops.
Paul’s portraits were nothing short of spectacular, with his iconic red military coat contrasting against lush green backdrops, echoing classical portraiture with a contemporary twist. His versatility shone through, effortlessly shifting between playful expressions and deeply introspective moments. These images tell the story of a time traveler lost in the ages, perfectly capturing the essence of ChronoVisions.
